27/28 Weeks!!

BEGINNING OF THE THIRD TRIMESTER

28 WEEKS!

Well~ here we go!! The countdown begins.  Only 13 more weeks and we will have a lil bambino.  My heart starts to race just thinking about how close we are to having a baby.  Right now I am cleaning out cupboards and getting the house ready to get the carpets cleaned.  Just getting more organized.  I guess its what they call "nesting" but I wish I was more motivated to the actually get it done.  The baby is moving soooo much lately- I picture him/her doing cartwheels. But in the words of Loverboy Im "Loving every minute of it!!" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QiF8md-w-zw
Below is a chart showing how weeks, months and trimesters correlate.  According to the chart I am in my 7th months. DAMN!!!

How Far Along: 27 Weeks!!
Size of baby: Cauliflower Baby. 2 lbs and 14 1/2 inches from head to toe
Total Weight Gained:  14 lbs.
Maternity Clothes: My maternity clothes are coming out this weekend!! I ordered some things from motherhood that need to be returned because they are funky. But I love the shorts I bought. My scrubs are getting a little tight too, but I'm going to make them last as long as possible.
Movement: YES!!!
What I miss: Wine
Cravings: Wine
Aversions/Annoyances: Repeating myself
Symptoms: My left hip is really hurting me lately, but I havent been sleeping with a pillow between my legs like I should, so that should help and Ive been stretching.
Best Moment this week:  Picking up the car seat and extra base that Anthony's dad bought for the baby. I feel like I'm getting so prepared.

How your baby's growing:
She's sleeping and waking at regular intervals, opening and closing her eyes, and perhaps even sucking her fingers. With more brain tissue developing, your baby's brain is very active now. While her lungs are still immature, they would be capable of functioning — with a lot of medical help — if she were to be born now. Chalk up any tiny rhythmic movements you may be feeling to a case of baby hiccups, which may be common from now on. Each episode usually lasts only a few moments, and they don't bother her, so just relax and enjoy the tickle.  (http://www.babycenter.com/)
