I had the best Baby Shower ever!! Thank you to Jennifer, Cassidy and Rochelle for all the hard work.  It so wonderful!!  I got such great compliments on how well everything looked and flowed.  I am truly blessed for all the love I am shown by those who are closest to me.  Below are all the photos I have so far from the shower. I'm still collecting if anyone else has any to share. Thanks again!

27/28 Weeks!!

BEGINNING OF THE THIRD TRIMESTER

28 WEEKS!

Well~ here we go!! The countdown begins.  Only 13 more weeks and we will have a lil bambino.  My heart starts to race just thinking about how close we are to having a baby.  Right now I am cleaning out cupboards and getting the house ready to get the carpets cleaned.  Just getting more organized.  I guess its what they call "nesting" but I wish I was more motivated to the actually get it done.  The baby is moving soooo much lately- I picture him/her doing cartwheels. But in the words of Loverboy Im "Loving every minute of it!!" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QiF8md-w-zw
Below is a chart showing how weeks, months and trimesters correlate.  According to the chart I am in my 7th months. DAMN!!!

How Far Along: 27 Weeks!!
Size of baby: Cauliflower Baby. 2 lbs and 14 1/2 inches from head to toe
Total Weight Gained:  14 lbs.
Maternity Clothes: My maternity clothes are coming out this weekend!! I ordered some things from motherhood that need to be returned because they are funky. But I love the shorts I bought. My scrubs are getting a little tight too, but I'm going to make them last as long as possible.
Movement: YES!!!
What I miss: Wine
Cravings: Wine
Aversions/Annoyances: Repeating myself
Symptoms: My left hip is really hurting me lately, but I havent been sleeping with a pillow between my legs like I should, so that should help and Ive been stretching.
Best Moment this week:  Picking up the car seat and extra base that Anthony's dad bought for the baby. I feel like I'm getting so prepared.

How your baby's growing:
She's sleeping and waking at regular intervals, opening and closing her eyes, and perhaps even sucking her fingers. With more brain tissue developing, your baby's brain is very active now. While her lungs are still immature, they would be capable of functioning — with a lot of medical help — if she were to be born now. Chalk up any tiny rhythmic movements you may be feeling to a case of baby hiccups, which may be common from now on. Each episode usually lasts only a few moments, and they don't bother her, so just relax and enjoy the tickle.  (http://www.babycenter.com/)

24 Weeks!!

Taken with Anthony's Iphone, sorry about the blurriness.

How Far Along: 24 Weeks!!
Size of baby: 2 Mangoes! 12 inches long and weighs 1.5 lbs.
Total Weight Gained:  10 lbs. Its been really steady now.
Maternity Clothes: They are ordered and hopefully will arrived any day.
Movement: YES!!! Its still really faint but I LOVE IT! The baby is getting a lot stronger now and Anthony can feel a lot more.  Yesterday morning he felt 2 strong kicks in a row.  So amazing!!
What I miss: Sleeping on my back.
Cravings: I still haven't fulfilled my Buffalo Wild Wings craving, but I'm starting to crave Nachos lately (Anthony told me I told need nachos and I have to agree with him)
Aversions/Annoyances: People talking too much. LOL!!
Symptoms: Leg Cramps in the middle of the night.
Best Moment this week:  Spending quality time with my mom over Easter weekend.  I really needed it!

How your baby's growing:
Your baby's growing steadily, having gained about 4 ounces since last week. That puts him over a pound. Since he's almost a foot long (picture an ear of corn), he cuts a pretty lean figure at this point, but his body is filling out proportionally and he'll soon start to plump up. His brain is also growing quickly now, and his taste buds are continuing to develop. His lungs are developing "branches" of the respiratory "tree" as well as cells that produce surfactant, a substance that will help his air sacs inflate once he hits the outside world. His skin is still thin and translucent, but that will start to change soon. www.babycenter.com

Ultrasound

Our Baby's First Debut

This view is looking downward. So the big black circle is my descending aorta, which lies toward the back of the abdomen. The baby likes to snuggle with it because it pulses with my heartbeat. Then the large grayish cushion at the top is the placenta, which is at the front of my stomach.  And then our little bambino looking right at us!!

PEACE DOG!!!

22 Weeks!!

Definitely showing!!! Especially in my face.

Bennie got in one of the pics too!

Up Close!!

How Far Along: 22 Weeks!!
Size of baby: Coconut! 8 inches long and weighs 1 lb.
Total Weight Gained:  6.5 lbs
Maternity Clothes: No quite- but I have rubber bands ready for my jeans.
Movement: Here and there-nothing consistent. During the ultrasound the technician informed us that I have an anterior placenta placement, therefore it makes harder to feel first movements. But, once the baby get bigger and stronger I'll feel more!
What I miss: Wine
Cravings: I have been thinking about Buffalo Wild Wings a lot lately.
Aversions: Anthony being drunk! I get jealous.
Symptoms: I feel swollen in my face but my hands and feet are normal.
Best Moment this week:  Seeing our little peanut on the ultrasound. And watching Anthony's face when he felt the baby kick.  He cant feel much but I was in the perfect postion and we got lucky that the baby moved again. He didnt believe me at first but then his face lit up.

How your baby's growing:

Your baby is starting to look like a miniature newborn. His lips, eyelids, and eyebrows are becoming more distinct, and he's even developing tiny tooth buds beneath his gums. His eyes have formed, but his irises (the colored part of the eye) still lack pigment. If you could see inside your womb, you'd be able to spot the fine hair (lanugo) that covers his body and the deep wrinkles on his skin, which he'll sport until he adds a padding of fat to fill them in. Inside his belly, his pancreas — essential for the production of some important hormones — is developing steadily. babycenter.com
